Bookshop

To the rear of the cafe one wall is taken up with a tall bookcase, made from the recycled floor boards of the old cobblers shop.

Here can be found all manner of strange and mysterious tomes: modern novels and ancient texts, arabic grammars and rock star memoirs, chinese poetry and greek tragedy, traveller's tales and scottish myths.

Buchan and Kipling, Ambler and Conrad, Marquez and Kerouac, Vonnegut and Zappa, all are regulars on these shelves. Mathiessen and Newby, Bryson and Chatwin, Thessiger and Thubron kick off their travelling shoes and put their feet up here. And Maya, Toni and Alice, you'll find them too, hanging out with Chimamanda, Miles and Virginia by the kitchen door.
